Hamilton City has its own fair share of attractions and activities including Hamilton Zoo, Waterworld, Skycity and the Hamilton Gardens. The balloon ride takes about four hours and finishes off with a champagne morning tea.

Hamilton is located on the banks of the Waikato River and there are plenty of ways to enjoy the scenery. A walkway extends all the way from the City to the outlying countryside along the river providing excellent cycling, running and walking conditions. You can enjoy a boat cruise or hire a canoe along the Waikato River or wander through the art galleries, museums and parklands. Other Hamilton attractions and activities include paintball, rock climbing, go karts, golf and a visit to the Donkey Farm. Hamilton tours include day trips to the Waitomo Caves, Waiheke Island wine tours and tours to Hobbiton, featuring scenes from the Lord of the Rings.
